The son of writer and painter Jack Servoz and dancer Léa Cartier, we could say that Willy Cartier was practically destined to take on an artistic path. After attending the prestigious Cours Florent school in Paris, he decided to broaden the scope of drama school by enrolling at the International Dance Academy, where he was trained in contemporary, classic, and jazz dance. His great breakthrough, however, came thanks to his modelling career, which he embarked on in 2008. Only two years later, he became the face of Givenchy, and his signature look was quickly featured on the cover of every top magazine, embodying the greatest fashion designers such as Chanel and Jean-Paul Gaultier, but also starring in music videos by Woodkid, Shy’m and Frank Ocean. Despite his successful modelling career, Willy Cartier keeps cultivating and exploring any artistic mode of expression and takes on several roles in French films and television series. In 2023, he took his first steps into 3rd art with “The Mute”, an exhibition blending painting, photography and video works.
