Pol Taburet

#

Pol Taburet is a young French artist of Guadalupe origin, winner of the first edition of the Reiffers Art Initiatives Prize supporting young contemporary creation. He is a graduate of the École nationale supérieure d’arts of Paris-Cergy and he currently lives and works in Paris. At just 23, Pol Taburet has developed a distinctive style of figurative painting that blends references to voodoo myths, paintings by Francis Bacon, video games and Atlanta trap music. The figures that populate his paintings lie somewhere between the human and the spectral, promising to deliver an encounter with uninhibited human-like beings.
