Born in Hawaii in 1967, Nicole Kidman was raised in Sydney, Australia, where she discovered her passion for acting and dance at a young age. The actress’ breakout role came when she was just 22 years old, in the 1989 thriller Dead Calm, which showcased her talent for intense, emotionally charged characters. This led to her being cast opposite Tom Cruise in the 1990 film Days of Thunder, marking the beginning of their high-profile marriage and one of Hollywood’s most famous couples. Throughout the 1990s, Kidman continued to take on diverse roles, from the manipulative Suzanne Stone in To Die For (1995) to the aristocratic Isabel Archer in The Portrait of a Lady (1996). Her performance in 1999’s Eyes Wide Shut, directed by the legendary Stanley Kubrick, further solidified her reputation as a fearless and committed actress.
