Fabio Novembre (born 21 October 1966, Lecce, Italy) is a visionary Italian architect and designer celebrated for his bold, narrative-driven creations. After moving to Milan in 1984, he graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1992 and then trained in film direction at New York University—an influence that would shape his cinematic design approach.
In 1994, he established Fabio Novembre Studio in Milan. His debut architectural work was the Anna Molinari Blumarine boutique in London, followed by a series of immersive interiors, including fashion showrooms, restaurants, and retail spaces for clients like Stuart Weitzman and Cassina. Transitioning into product design in 2001, Novembre crafted iconic pieces like the anthropomorphic “Him & Her” chairs and the striking “Nemo” head‑shaped armchair—each challenging form and function.
His curatorial and installation work includes monographic exhibitions “Teach Me the Freedom of Swallows” (2008) and “Il fiore di Novembre” (2009) in Milan, as well as the Italy Pavilion installation at Expo Shanghai in 2010. Since 2019, he has held key cultural leadership roles: Artistic Director at Driade, Scientific Director at Domus Academy, and member of the scientific committee of the Triennale Milano Design Museum.
Driven by his belief that “architecture tells three‑dimensional stories,” Novembre continues to blur boundaries between architecture, art, and design—creating immersive, emotionally resonant experiences that reaffirm his status as a leading voice in contemporary Italian design
